Twenty-four Employees of the Sanden Group receive the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award

Twenty-four employees of the Sanden Corporation and Sanden Group were awarded the MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) Award as “contributors to originality and ingenuity in the workplace” this year, and received the award certificates at the notification ceremony held on April 17, 2008 in the Gunma Prefectural Main Hall.
This award was established to give recognition to individuals who contributed to creating the basis for the development of science and technology by implementing ideas with originality and ingenuity in manufacturing sites such as in factories. It is a national award in the name of the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, with 986 individuals awarded nationwide for this year (the previous year having the same figure also), of which 49 were from Gunma (54 in the previous year). This was the fourth most among all prefectures, and Sanden Corporation has made a large contribution to raising the presence of Gunma Prefecture. Additionally, the number of awardees from the company increased from 19 in the previous year to 24 this year. We consider this to be as a result of our activities for operational improvement taking root and succeeding over time at our manufacturing sites.
At Sanden Corporation, we pursue “creativity” at all levels in order to improve the products that we deliver to customers around the world, under the group’s action policy of “creation through challenge, innovation and improvement”. We will recognize this award as further encouragement to continue our efforts in creative activities full of inventiveness.
