19 Sanden Group Employees Won the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award

19 Sanden Group employees were awarded the MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology)
Award as "contributors to originality and ingenuity in the workplace" this year, and received the award certificates at the
notification ceremony held on April 20, 2007 in the Gunma Prefecture Main Hall
This award was established to give recognition to individuals who contributed to creating the basis for the development of
science and technology by implementing ideas with originality and ingenuity in manufacturing sites such as in factories.
It is a national award in the name of the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, with 986
individuals awarded nationwide (980 in the previous year) for this year of which 54 were from Gunma (50 in the previous
year). This was the third most among all prefectures, and Sanden Corporation has made a large contribution in raising
the presence of Gunma prefecture. Additionally, the number of awardees from the company increased to 19 from 13 in
the previous year. We consider this as the result of our kaizen (continuous improvement) activities taking root and
succeeding through the years at our manufacturing sites.
At Sanden Corporation, we pursue "creativity" at all levels in order to improve the products that we deliver to customers
around the world, under the Group's action guideline of "creation through challenge, innovation, and improvement". We
will recognize this Award as further encouragement to continue our efforts in creative activities full of inventiveness.
