The board of directors of Sanden Corporation resolved at its meeting held on March 15, 2007 to informally appoint
director & vice president Kazuyuki Suzuki, as the next president, and he is expected to formally assume the
office as of June 22, 2007 when an ordinary general meeting of shareholders is scheduled to be held. Yoshimasa
Hayakawa, the current president will assume the post of director & vice chairman as of the same date.
The purpose of this personnel change is to strengthen technology development, reformation of manufacturing works,
and business globalization, taking an opportunity of business recovery performed during the business year ending
March 31, 2007.
Sanden Group established 52 business units in 23 countries, the Americas, Europe, Asia and China, and is expanding
businesses not only in the existing markets it has already penetrated into, but also in new markets such as those
in various regions in BRICs. Further, at its new product development fronts, it is positively investing in the
area of environment technologies including system development using CO2, which is a natural refrigerant, and
accelerates high efficiency product development in response to a recycling-oriented society. The Group will continue
to reinforce its domestic businesses as well as to promote overseas business expansion in all areas of its businesses,
including automotive systems such as automotive air-conditioning systems, commercial store systems such as vending
machines, freezers and refrigerated showcases for stores, and other business systems including high efficiency
hot water supply equipment for home use.
