Sanden Corporation won the Third France-Japan Investment Award this year.
This award was established to give due recognition to those Japanese and French companies that have contributed to economic development through foreign direct investment by the Invest in France Agency.
The annual ceremony awarding this prize has been held since 2004, and the third annual meeting was held in November this year.
The Japanese companies honored for the investment in France were Sanden Corporation, Ajinomoto Co., Inc., and Nomura Holdings, Inc.,
and the French companies honored for investment in Japan were Michelin Group and Axa Group. The rationale behind the selection of Sanden Corporation as a nominee was that it hires more than 10% of its Group-wide employees (more than 10 thousand) in France,
and that gross sales made by its French subsidiaries are exceeding 300 million euros, with continuous investments implemented in their production, environment,
and development activities in France.
At the third annual France-Japan Investment Awards Ceremony held at Hotel New Otani on November 29, about 250 guests attended, and Mrs. Christine Lagarde, a minister of trade in France,
and Mr. Henri Lackmann, who is Chairman of Schneider Electric, Inc., and also the French-side chairman of the French-Japanese Club representing judges for the Awards gave complimentary speeches.
Mrs. Marylise Lebranchu, former French Legal Minister, also attended the ceremony, representing a district assembly in Bretagne where our subsidiary is located.
Sanden Corporation will continue our efforts to further improve customer satisfaction, quality, and services, making this Award a milestone for our future business activities in the European regions.
