Achieved total production of two million vending machines

Sanden Corporation achieved total production of two million vending machine units this year.
Since Sanden developed fountain-type vending machines for juice in 1961, it has developed many other types for beer, coffee, and other drinks ahead of its rivals. A hot and cold canned beverage vending machine was developed jointly with a beverage manufacturer, to solve problems of declining sales during the winter season, and has contributed a great deal to the development of the vending machine business and of society.
The total number of production units reached one million in 1991, and doubled within fifteen years to two million. Sanden commands about a 30-percent share of the global market, including units produced in its overseas plants.
Sanden will increase its efforts to develop Freon-free, energy-saving vending machines, and to provide the market with more eco-friendly vending machines.
