Sanden launches the sale of Eco-Cuto

October 4, 2005

Sanden Corporation will launch the sale of high-efficiency boilers, under the brand name “Eco-Cuto”.

Eco-Cuto is an environment-responsive product which the government and electric power companies are making aggressive efforts to make known to the public as part of efforts to protect the global environment. With the positioning environmental technologies as the basis for its business, Sanden has been working to develop high-efficiency hot water apparatus that combine the Sanden Group’s product development capabilities and environmental technologies. The time has now come when we can start the sale of our new product, Eco-Cuto.

Sanden is a maker of compressors for Automotive air-conditioners, with a global market share of over 25 percent, and supplies them to automakers all over the world. Sanden is also pushing forward with the development of CO2 compressors, mobilizing all its technical capabilities. Sanden has a strong sales network in the household appliance market, with a lineup of such products as central hot-water heating systems and FF-type heaters (Zetas), which have all been developed using our high-combustion and hot-water technologies. Sanden has a nationwide maintenance service network capable of providing 24-hour, 365-days, services including the sale, installation, and maintenance of our products.

Sanden’s Eco-Cuto uses economical CO2 energy as an environment-friendly natural refrigerant, and its nighttime electric power use achieves top efficiency in the industry. When running, it is as a quiet as a library.

There are three types of Eco-Cuto, according to storage capacity: 300L, for condominiums; 370L, for mid-size homes; and 460L, for large homes. The sale of these standard-specification products will start in fiscal 2005, and in 2006 the lineup will be increased to respond to customer needs by gradually developing thin-model Eco-Cuto and those designed for cold regions. In this way, we will expand the market by increasing the number electricity-based homes.
