Sanden Corporation (COO: Yoshimasa Hayakawa, Head Office: Isesaki-shi, Gunma) accepted an Award for Best Investment in Europe at the 3rd World Conference of Investment held on June 29 and 30 in La Baule in France.
This is an honorable award granted to an enterprise that achieves noteworthy performance in investments in all European regions. The first winner of this award in the automobile industry was PSA group, the second winner was Toyota Motor Corporation, and the third was Sanden.
Recipients of awards at this 3rd conference were GE (the U.S.), Siemens (Germany), and Fujitsu (Japan) besides Sanden. Masayoshi Ushikubo, Chairman and CEO attended the Conference on June 29 and the Award Ceremony on June 30. He participated in a panel discussion where he spoke with government officials and top executives of major world enterprises* on a theme of “Enhancement of Investment Attractiveness”.
At the award ceremony, Chairman Ushikubo was awarded a plaque from Gemarl, Director General of the Office of Investment in France. Ushikubo expressed his delight in having established Sanden International (Europe) Ltd. (in England), Sanden Manufacturing Europe S.A.S. (in France), Sanden Technical Centre (Europe) GmbH (in Germany), and Sanden Manufacturing (Poland), and in business activities expected to be performed by them. He also stated his pleasure in seeing how Sanden has contributed to the development of the economy as well as the auto industry in Europe.
